Choosing between Levoit's Core 200S and Core 300S
Both the 200S and 300S have 4 fan speeds, produce the same amount of noise (24dBA to 48dBA) and have Smart, app-integrated features including scheduling and filter-change notification. They both also carry Energy Star Certifications and extremely high marks from owner reviews.
Differences between the Levoit Core 200S and Core 300S
Suggested room size
The 200S is better suited for small rooms. Levoit suggests a maximum room size of 183 square feet for the 200S and 219 square feet for the 300S.
Active air quality/particle measurement
Second the 300S has an active PM2.5 particle sensor, lacking in the 200S.
HEPA filtration capabilities
Minor differences include the size and weight of each unit with the 200S being smaller than the slightly larger 300S.
Our recommendation: Levoit Core 300S
We recommend the Levoit Core 300S. The Core 300S’ uptick in price is well worth the additional HEPA filtration capabilities, automatic mode and AirSight™ Plus. The 200S is a good air purifer, but we think the investment in the more capable 300S is the better choice
